Sources we use

Every piece declares one or more source types. This is the taxonomy and what each one means in practice.

Vendor disclosure

Public disclosures from vendors: investor decks, prospectuses, regulatory filings, official blog posts.

Earnings call

Public-company earnings calls and transcripts. Useful for go-to-market commentary at the strategic level.

Conference

On-record conference talks and panels. Off-record material from conferences is excluded by default.

Peer-reviewed

Published, peer-reviewed academic research. Used where the question has been studied rigorously elsewhere.

Published research

Industry research from named authors with disclosed methodology. Excludes unattributed vendor-blog claims.

Practitioner interview

On-record interviews with named practitioners. Off-record material is used to inform framing only.

Regulatory body

Findings, guidance, and enforcement notices from regulators (ICO, FCA, CMA, Companies House, ONS).

Legal filing

Court filings, statutory instruments, primary legislation, and published judgments.

Community data

Aggregated, methodology-disclosed community data (Pavilion, RevOps Co-op, BESMA, etc.). We disclose the sample basis.

Internal report

salespeople.co.uk's own data: aggregate event analytics, job-board signals, content performance. We disclose what is and isn't included.

Analyst report

Public analyst commentary (Gartner, Forrester, IDC, plus boutique analysts). We name the analyst and the date.
